Market Trend

Jet setters are now redirecting their attention from iconic bucket list cities such as Paris, Milan, London, and New York to the enchanting beaches and breathtaking sunsets of southern Spain, including the renowned ‘white island’ of Ibiza.

The real estate market in these sought-after destinations has experienced a significant surge, fueled by an influx of buyers from various nationalities, including the French, Dutch, British, German, Swiss, and an increasing number of Americans.

Fortier has observed a rising trend among high-net-worth individuals, who are opting for extended vacation periods, a shift attributed to the emergence of remote work opportunities, a renewed focus on lifestyle, and overall well-being following the global health pandemic.

Remarkably, the pandemic has had an unexpectedly positive impact on the private jet sector in the Balearic Islands, with 2022 marking a record year, as reported by Diario de Ibiza. The enhanced infrastructure and newly added facilities at the airport since 2019 are poised to further enhance the travel mobility and long-term allure of the island for affluent individuals
